George’s Fight

He could have run

Twice

Urged

Would you?

Do we even want

To run

To leave?

Is it much better

Leaving that pull at our shoulder

Never removed from knowing

We run

Or should it just

Be faced

Because a beast

Beast-man, or sickly

Trait inside

Half the time

Shrivelled when looked in the eye

Fiends can have their fists broken

Upon resolve

And you can rise

With those hard day-after-days

Of toil, not struggle

Break its back, not yours

Not for reward

Not for life

Or terror

Or end to strive

But because

You can

And when one decides

Why should you, slayer and re-maker

Not choose right and wise?
