Old and Grey

That is a life

Old and grey

With those we love

Whether we call it that

Shown

In how they live

For were we ever alive

If

When set to die

It was not all for them?

Old and grey

Wan and pale

Near death

Bloody and stayed

Let colour and tears

With life and time

Be given to them

Old and grey

In death

One’s heart never ends.
