The Comfort of Context

The comfort of context

Looking back to when one felt further

It offers warmth and then

Both a little more

And less

When we know a thing in the recollection

Our wonder shifted

Perhaps our mystery is less engaged

But ah,

No there is still

Change

In subtle wonder undermining assumption

For what is the chase to find a thing

Compared to the constant pace

When you actually have what you wanted

Then open your eyes

Vistas you were too stupid to see

Not drowning or floundering in possibility.
