We Are The Storm

I’ve seen our nerves

Laid out

Detached from diagrams

More jellyfish than neurons

We float and fire

Webbed and laced

Cracking with bioelectric

Reaction and action

Longing and passion

Planning and logic

Flowing in sheets

Thundering our possibility

Roast fuel in chemical fire

Give us skies to spy

And dreams to be

Goals to reach

And other tempests

Our folk, our friends, our loves

Crash the fibres of your body

The unwavering engine of your mind

And shake the earth

Eyes open to our reality
